This site is dedicated to the memory of Charley McIntyre.

This fund has been set up to raise money for the British Lung Foundation in memory of my Dad, Charley McIntyre, who we tragically lost on 22nd March 2010 aged just 59! He suffered from both Pulmonary Hypertension & Advanced COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), which kills around 30,000 people a year in the UK – more than breast, bowel or prostate cancers combined and the main cause of which, is smoking!!! At present there is no cure!! Both of these conditions make you feel like you are gasping for breath even when you're sitting at complete rest!! My Dad received invaluable support from the British Lung Foundation, the physiotherapy & advice he received at the Pulmonary Rehab Clinics really helped him to deal with his extreme breathlessness towards the end, until it became so advanced that he obviously couldn't cope anymore... and made the heartbreaking decision to leave us early! Hopefully our fundraising efforts will help to provide support and reduce the suffering of other patients with COPD & their families! Your help in raising as much money as possible for the British Lung Foundation is so much appreciated! Thank you Paula
